Here is a photo of an article to remember J.L. Moreno on his birthday (May 18, 1889).
The article is taken from the French newspaper Le Figaro of 2 October 1959. The cartoon is by Georges Libault. The columnist is Pierre de Latil, famous for his studies on cybernetics. The article talks about sociometry and its applications, on the occasion of a presentation of this new science by Moreno at UNESCO in Paris. In the archive of Anne Ancelin Schützenberger, promoter and interpreter in this event, we also found the invitation to participate!
P.S.
A curiosity: Pierre de Latil mentions the use of sociometric rules also to decide the pairings between military aviators and suggests finding traces of it in "The Bridge on the River Kwai", (an Oscar-winning American film from 1958, which ends with the condemnation of the senselessness of war and its contradictions). Today, this nod can be felt as an invitation for all of us to evaluate the deeper objectives that we wish to achieve with our study and our work.
