Use of space in the psychodrama setting in Argentina (spanish)
Due the importance of the Stage as an instrument of the psychodramatic method, and considering that the information obtained with respect to its use is limited, this work has the objective to account for an exploratory and descriptive/correlational study focused on the particular way that this space, the Psychodramatic Stage, was defined and used in the argentine psychodrama practice. Twenty semi structured interviews with argentine psychodramatists representing three generations of historical development were done. Given the hypotheses it was possible to define, through a thorough content
analysis the relevance of this study. This showed clearly that the conceptions about space by the interviewed professionals influenced decisively the historical process of the development and differentiation of the diverse therapeutic lines. However, it was not confirmed that the psychodramatic line to which the professional belonged, determine necessarily the particular way in which he or she conceives and uses the space. It was found instead that the stage is considered an instrument that favors both the investigation of psychological aspects and the therapeutic action itself. This means that a contribution to psychology in general has occurred and probably will continue to be expanded with new contributions, even from other sciences.
